Hexagon - How to set a Blueprint as background image for modeling ?

I tried a grid and make a material from a png image that contains one of my blue prints.
The result is distorted and not at scale at all.
I don't see an easy way to simple drop a texture file on a flat surface, not even an object
Only video tutorial I found was from a "mumbling inaudible" guy presenting how to map a maserati.
Did not help.

Am I going to fast and jumping steps ?

It must be simple !
Looks to me as base to model something realistic.

    In Hexagon, in the Scene pane on the right, select Properties (it is normally set to Scene Tree), and you can enter images there to use as drawing aids.

    You should be able to find that in the docs as well, in the manual that comes with Hex.
