Studio 4.7 doesn't load Genesis

I am an old Poser user, new to Daz Studio. Trying to give the software and Genesis another change after hearing respected content creators sing its praises. I like to create content.
Anyway, I have a fresh install of Studio 4.7.
I have downloaded and installed starter essentials for Genesis, Genesis2 male and Female.
My problem is Studio doesn't load any of these figures.
I get an error message:
The following files could not be found:
/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 2/Female/Genesis2Female.dsf
I browse to the folder, and there is a .duf file, instead of a .dsf file.
Instead of the figure I get an arrangement of blocks in roughly the shape of a human, but it isn't Genesis.
The same thing happens for Genesys 2 male, and for the original Genesis as well.
I am baffled and stumped and almost on the point of uninstalling the whole shebang.
Oh, and I have created exceptions for Daz Studio and for the content manager in my antivirus program (Eset).
And I also tried turning the antivirus and firewall off and that didn't help.

Do your DAZ Studio have the content directories correctly mapped?
Did you install with DIM or manual?
Was the items installed a directory mapped in DAZ Studio?
From your problem description I suspect the error is there somewhere.
I carefully checked the path to where Studio is looking for the file, and the dsf file is in fact there. See the screencaps. Can anyone tell me what is going on?
The file is where it should be, but Studio doesn't find it.
I DAZ Studio, under preferences and Content Library Manager, how does it look there?
This?
Looks like the issue is that you've got a Content folder in "My Library." Your "data" folder and the others of the same level should be directly in "My Library," not in "Content."
Edited to add: to put that another way...when installing manually, the contents of the Content folder, not the Content folder itself, should be merged into "My Library." Thank you, I moved the folders and that did the trick
I'm having a similar problem having just installed V4.7 I get the following error:
Could not open the start up scene : C:/Users/AFC/Documents/DAZ 3D/Studio/My Library/People/Genesis/Genesis.duf
File does not exist
I looked for the folder but get as far as C:/Users/AFC/Documents/ but there's no DAZ 3D folder
The folder must be somewhere as there is some content showing up when the program is run.
I used the download manager for everything and let it do it's own thing and choose it's own defaults.
DAZ Install Manager uses a default install location of C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library so as not to mix things up with the older "My Library" location, and to allow multiple user accounts to access it. Go to Edit > Preferences > Startup and either untick the startup scene box or change the path of the startup scene to use the new location. Also go to Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager and make sure the new location is listed under BOTH "DAZ Studio Formats" and "Poser Formats". A clean install will have the new location, but an update doesn't change your settings, so it will still have only the old location.
Thanks for the quick reply
As you suggested I found the folders under C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library
Things now appear to be working ok, thanks.
