    If installed into the presets folder (if I recall correctly that's where it showed to put it) then it should update to the objects tab I believe.

    Thanks for the tip. my friend! I've been neglecting my duties as a freebie collector recently. Going through, I've just scored over four hundred bucks (US) worth of goods just for pressing a few buttons!
    But I've really wanted to grab this one - just hadn't yet. Never a better time than during a 100% sale, eh? ;)

    Oh I should specify, I install everything manually. DIM sucks, and I know the right filepath by now myself :)

    I know all of my paths, but I love the DIM! The key to using it with several paths is to simply leave the "Show Details" box checked at the bottom, so I can easily grab the path I want, select everything that goes there, and run the queue... it's SO fast! ...and I have ZERO time these days.

    So I decided to install DIM to this tiny bed-side laptop (AspireOne 10.1" with the microscopic Intel Atom cpu) and try out Carrara and a few products on it. I've ended up also installing DAZ Studio in case I needed it to get the new Postgre stuff working on the Carrara 8.5 beta, but no need... it just works.

    This is the first render from my tiny laptop using (anything, actually) Carrara 8.5.1 Beta 64 bit, slightly enhanced with Howler for motion and more vivid colors.

    Yeah, I just added that whole "Presets > Objects" folder since other things seem to be installed there too, like my other Carrara star ships from Philip Drawbridge ("drawbridgep" in the DAZ Store), and I think some other stuff.

    I just couldn't help it. I was excited to get my hands on this fighter-class, as well as eager to see how well Carrara can behave on such a minute little system. I mean... it seems like everything is fairly reluctant on this little machine. Don't get me wrong, I like the little beast. It's tiny so it's super easy to just grab n' go. And I liked it because it runs Windows - meaning that it can run the software I'm used to - I mean, compared to other devices that run Android or iOS. I'm planning on eventually getting a Surface Pro of some sort, but this is what I have now.

    I initially thought that it would be my Dogwaffle machine, aside from its intended purpose of playing digital media while I fall asleep. But as it turns out, I like Howler much better if I have Carrara on the same machine - so I can bounce back and forth.
    So... short story long... I just had to make this render before I would have been able to even think of sleeping last night! ;)
