Concerns about hair rendering

It's been a while since I've had a problem with some hair (Karla Hair / Elysa Hair / Martha's everyday Bob)
After rendering the scene, some have more or less important dots. I didn't have this problem before I changed my computer.
Where could this problem come from ?
Thx

What render engine are you using? And is the hair compatible with that specific engine?
Although hair that was initially made for 3Delight usually renders fine in Iray (or Filament) this isn't always a guarantee. And of course the other way around also applies: hair which uses materials which were specifically designed for Iray usually don't provide great results with 3Delight. As such... context matters.
I have always used Iray for the render.

Being an inexperienced, occasional user and clearly non-expert, I am a bit lost. But thanks to the keywords you quoted, I was able to dig and find what was wrong.
The concern apparently came from Blacklight files. But what are they clearly? The Blacklight off fixed the problem.
Sorry if I sound silly with my questions, but I'm not very familiar with all of this.
Black lights or back lights? Black lights create a glow effect on certain paints etc. Back lights though is a light source placed behind someone to create a highlighted effect on the body/hair. This issue reminds me of this issue talked about in this thread. There are two fixes to try listed. Karla hair is made for iray. I have had to do the 99% cutout opacty on it before.
Backlight X) My goddess, I have more and more problems with my eyes.
At least that was only for Karla Hair while digging through Materials Iray's Utilities folder.
For the others, it seems that I have to set the opacity cutout lower than 1.
This all seems strange to me. Has there been an update that caused these problems?
Many hair styles are affected by this problem. (Low Ponytail which I reused today and detected the same problem).
Yes it happened with one of the updates not to long ago. I couldn't tell you which one though. There are several hairs affected by it, believe most if not all OOTs hairs do.
Turn on Thin Wall in the Surface tab for everything but the Cap. Should rectiufy that.
