Import Filters?

Before downloading Daz I was using Caligari Truespace. I find it very easy to create my own objects, import my own tectures, etc in Truespace, but I find creating new objects or props in Daz to not be very user friendly. Are there any filters for Daz to import a Truespace object? Or is there any add-on for Daz that makes new object creation easier to manage? Thanks.

DAZ Studio is not a modelling program -- can TrueSpace export as .obj?
well DAZ has a bridge to Hexagon if you can get Hexagon to work on your computer nicely, it hates me, freezes but others have success with it.
Its been awhile, but as I recall there is a plugin required for Truespace in order to export to Wavefront .obj format. It is still available I believe. I'm not certain if there are problems with surface normals importing such objects into DAZ Studio, but if so, you may have to do some prep in Truespace first.
As stated, DAZ Studio is not a modelling program, although McCasual has done some amazing things using scripts to work with the native primitive shapes. Truespace ceased development long ago, so, no, there is no way to import native Truespace content into DAZ Studio.
Unfortunately, the objects Truespace saves uses a proprietary format called Rosetta. It saves object with .RsObj instead of .obj. I tried to import it into Daz by changing the file designation to .obj, but the object comes in blank. The scene list shows that the object is there but it is not visible, even if I try to place a color or texture on it. I didn't know about the plugin though, I'll see if I can download from somewhere. The Truespace site is no longer active.
If anyone has some suggestions for other modeling programs that work well with Daz, please let me know. I'll look into Hexagon.
Blender is also well worth a look. I do all of my modelling in Blender now.
Its also free with plenty of tuts available! Blender 2.73 here.
Thanks for the input. I'll check out Blender as well.
