Insufficient hardware?
Im new to all this and purchased 3 items with plans on practicing with them, an apartment scene and 2 figures.

I can load the scene and either figure, but not the scene and both figures. I didn't even add anything to the figures, just bawd & nekkid. I've always known that 3D rendering was very intensive but holy crap. I watched it take every single MB of my 16 gigs of RAM. It also took 20 minutes to render just the apt scene with no figures. Is this my rude awakening? Here is my hardware.
8700K @ 4.3 GHz
16 GB RAM @ 3733 MHz
1.5 TB M.2 for C: @ 3500/3000
RTX 2080 Ti
Everything is installed on C:, which is an SSD. I do have secondary, larger HDD's if needed. I do have an extra 16 GB of ram laying around and never used it because I initially forgot to install it and never needed it. This scene and two figures don't seem nearly as complex as some of the stuff I see out there. Regardless, am I still just lacking in hardware? If I try to load all 3 the software will eat up all my RAM and then crash.

Not too long ago, another set by those same PAs (FG Rundown Mobile) got some flak on these forums for also being very resource-intensive. It's mainly due to the very large number of texture maps you need to cram inside the GPU--in this case, 455. Adding more regular RAM won't make a difference. It all depends on your 2080 Ti's VRAM.
While I applaud the PAs for creating a scene with a lot of visual variety, at the same time it's a terrible drain on hardware.
If you're just starting out, invest in https://www.daz3d.com/scene-optimizer. It's a script that adjusts texture maps to save you from doing it manually, in GIMP or something. Smaller textures will both let you fit more on the GPU and also render faster. Unless you're doing a close-up, you can get away with reducing an environment's textures by 2x or sometimes even 4x with no noticable difference in quality. If you use a lot of DOF, you can probably even get away with 8x.
You definitely need more than 16GB of system RAM for an 11GB card. Adding the 16GB of system RAM will definitely help as it's used to setup the transfer of data to the card, and that usually requires 2-3 times the amount of VRAM you're filling.

Check the SubD on your figures, set it to max 2 if it's higher
I think even 32 GB system RAM is barely adequate if you really wnat to push the RTX2080Ti
I've had a RTX2080Ti and when I render largely populated scenes I can see that when my VRAM was hitting the 10gb m,ark, my system ram use is upward of 40 GB
Add more System RAM may solve the issue. The other alternative is use less assets in your scenes
Doesn't take much to hit 32GB RAM usage.
I'm using an 8GB RTX 2070 Super with 64GB RAM on W7 Ultimate, and did some testing about RAM and VRAM usage a while back.
Case A) was one G8 figure with lightweight hair and clothing
Case B) was four similar G8 figures and some architechture
Case C and D) started increasing SubD on the figures to see what happens with the VRAM and RAM usage when the rendering drops to CPU for the lack of adequate VRAM
I've decided to get a 5900x 12 core cpu, Asus Rog x570 motherboard and 64 gigs of ram. I'll keep using my 2080ti until I feel that I need something more.
I'd like to start this off the right way especially since I'll be learning lots of other things alongside Daz such as Unreal Engine, Blender, Photoshop and Zbrush.
