Issue with using a G8F dForce clothing item on G3F
Hello, I'm currently trying to use this G8F Tracksuit from Renderosity on a Genesis 3 Female. When I use the autofitting clone, the upper sleeves "stretch" from an imaginary G8F arm that's pointing downward; this gives the effect of having a much looser jacket than I'd like. The "roll up sleeves" morph also bugs out, resulting in the sleeve going up vertically rather than up the figure's arm. I attached screenshots to hopefully illustrate what I mean, because I'm aware it's not super clear.
I assume this has to do with the item being dForce - is it possible to somehow correct the autofitter/rigging so that it fits properly (preferably, in a semi-accessible fashion for a DAZ studio amateur like me), or is there just no real easy way to fix it apart from, like, modifying the object in Blender or whatever? This is the best tracksuit I've found - I haven't seen any others with the collar sticking out and the ability to open like that, at least for G3F - so I'd really like to use it. EDIT: Obviously though, if anyone has suggestions for equivalent items, I'd be open to them.
This has happened to me a couple of times with converted items (notably the Divide), but it was manageable enough and didn't hurt the visuals that much. This is by far the worst item I've had this happen with.

That happens as autofit uses nearest character mesh as target (and has nothing to do with it being dForce).
I am not aware of methods to get autofit to work differently.
I can suggest some options.
A) Change scene identification of the clothing to G3 before fitting. That usually works fitting G3 to G8.
B) Put G3F (base) in G8 position and load the clothing and then use timeline for simulation.
Nice, your first suggestion worked well! If I set both the "compatibility base" and "preferred base" to G3F in Edit/Object/Scene Identification before fitting to G3F, it already lowers the stretch and makes the morphs work. Setting the "smoothing iterations" to a high number like 80 improves it even more, then I can simply save it as a prop asset.
It's not entirely perfect - there's a bit of a crease/bump in the armpit still as compared to the item on a G8F figure, but it's a definite improvement and very much workable.
Thanks!
