How can I STOP interpolation between frames?
Hi there,
I'm not doing animations as such but scenes for storypanes. So every frame has a completely different pose, expressions, camera angles, etc. Keeping it together makes changing things like textures easier since you change it once and not in 30+ individual scenes and you can render everything in one go and put out individual images without the need of a render queue product.
Back in Poser you just went to the animation palette with your stuff loaded, marked all 30 (or more, or less) frames and hit the "Constant Section" button. Done. Now you could pose everything in any frame and there would be 0 interpolation. I have so far been unable to do that in DAZ Studio. Is there a way to get this done in DAZ as well? I tried the very well hidden thing left of TCB and set it to "Constant" but sometimes some things still seem to move. I haven't found any info yet how to use this unnamed thing next to TCB - do I set it once with everything selected, do I need to use it per frame ...
Any help would be apprechiated.

Setting the key type to cosntant (or linear) should do the job, or you could simply key every property on every frame ebfore applying your poses - I assume the issue is where a pose doesn't modify a property explicitly but other poses do, so it is left free for the interpolation to affect in which case chnaging the interpolation type on other frames won't help (because the value would still be changed, just to the value of the previous frame rather than to an intermediate value).
I used to do that also on Poser, but DS was just not working the same. Had to set a key for everything in every frame and it made the filesizes for the saves go through the roof. The biggest was somewhere over 3GB's, took about 1.5 hours to save and that was on DS 4.8/4.9 with the better working timeline.
Started doing separate files when one file stopped working after the drive ran out of space during a save, but it would be nice to be able to work like that. It would allow you to make changes/corrections to your figure if you find a problem in later storypanes and update all the panes automatically at the same time.
Not helping much, sorry.
