Mac Pro CPU IRay performance vs. GPU

I have been nursing along a 2010 Mac Pro on High Sierra running Daz 4.11 because thats last working Nvida driver for my 12GB Titan and I get obviously  significantly faster renders than the CPU - however last year I got a Mac Mini - not an M1 and recently started using it to do renders as well and I see decent performance relative to Nvidia - havent done any serious clock tests but was wondering if anyone had any metrics to share on the new high core count Mac Pros relative to Nvidia cards - obviously I cant put new cards in my 2010 but it might be worth living without Nvidia - at least on my Mac if the CPU render times were reasonable.

These tend to be interiors with a few practical lights and a HDR dome- so even on the Nvidia they take a good hour to hour and a half to get a relatively clean render

Anyone have any data to share?
