Make Autofitted v4 cape stop sticking too G2F's legs?

In a scene I've made, I have a v4 cape autofitted to G2f.

Though the cape is parented to the back/shoulders of G2F, when I pose the legs of G2F, the cape moves as well. I tried unparrenting it, but that didn't change things.

Is this just "one of those autofit things" or is there a way to detach it?

Autofit won't work properly for capes as the standard rigging templates are not made for items like that, as you noticed the bottom will be linked to the legs.

You'll probably have better results if you just parent the cape to your figure.
You can also try converting the original figure to weightmapping then use the transfer utility, so that it keeps the non-standard bones (see Sickleyield's tutorial here: http://sickleyield.deviantart.com/journal/Tutorial-Saving-Gen-4-Custom-Bones-on-Conversion-417250347 )

I use SY keeping bones tute mostly but sometimes other methods work too depending on the garment.
    Alternatively
If it has movement morphs you could also try fitting it as a long hair or shirt that way it will not be rigged to the legs but still follow the body.
Otherwise creating a ghost bone or bones and weightpainting/filling by polygon selection.
Another thing is to try using the transfer utility to fit it to a garment made for the figure with bones and or handles for movement.

Good point, fitting it to a cape made for G2F may give you good results.

This thread goes through the exact same issue with the v4 domino coat on a g2 figure :)

You ought to be able to move the corresponding bones in the cape independently of the body and in the opposite direction to the legs. A similar issue came up in another thread: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/viewreply/706297/

That probably won't work. When I tried that with the Domino coat, it warped into a strange tangled mess the bones being attached to the G2F figure. I'm thinking the cape will work in the same manner.

Well, here's G2F with Domino for V4 auto-fitted. You need to rotate the bones for the Thigh, Shin and Foot of the Coat to get it straight.
