Is there an easy way to clean up and organize a library?
Ok, So I'm fairly new to Daz3d, but it's been on my computer for a while now. I recently upgraded to 4.7, but haven't been using it much until recently, however, I've been collecting freebies for some time now. Some installed via the downloader, others from .exe installers, and the manually dragging the files into the library... however, my library is now a cluttered mess. with things spread out in all corners, it can sometimes take me 5 or more minutes to find an item I was just looking at. Daz 3d is a great product, but it is difficult enough to learn, without the frustration of not finding what I'm looking for. I created a sub-folder for some of the more commonly used items, but even that, at a 2nd level folder is hard to find, and is causing more duplication of items. I really would like to clean it up some, but don't want to spend all day doing so.
Thank you for any help.

If these are third party items, from other websites, then you would need to reorganise them your self. There is no third party software that I know of that can help you there.
If you are installing or organising DAZ 3D content, then using the DAZ Install Manager (DIM) is the easiest way to keep your content right.
You could also look at using Categories inside DAZ Studio here is a link to a video tutorial

Content in DAZ Studio, is divided into Poser Formats (CR2, PZ2, PP2, PZ3 etc) and DAZ Studio Formats (DUF, DAZ, DS, DSA, DSB, DSE etc) and you can find these in the Content Library pane. Only content that has Metadata will appear in Smart Content.
If you can post screenshots of your DS Content folder, we may be able to help more.
Also, since you're new, keep in mind that DAZ3D is the company and DAZ Studio is one of its products and the one to which you are referring. :) Welcome!
Thanks. I really didn't think that there was a simple solution, just making sure. It is amazing the things I've done to make my life more difficult, because the easy way wasn't obvious.
