Advice on Upgrading Please

Hello..
I have been looking for an answer to my question for a while now and would like some advice please. I have been using Daz Studio and the Gen 4 products for a long time now.. I have tested Genesis 1 and found myself going right back to my Gen 4 products.. I am now seriously considering purchasing Genesis 2 and upgrading to using Gen 6 products.. The only thing that is holding me back is my fear that in a few months from now Genesis 3 will be released along with Gen 7,8,9..etc.... I have spent a LOT of money on Gen 4.. Characters, morphs, clothing, poses etc.. and now feel that most of it will be useless once I upgrade.. I do know that you can use Gen 4 products with Genesis 2 but again I would feel that it would still be a step back for me..... Anyhow long story short,, My question is this... Can I safely assume that Genesis 2 and the Gen 6 products are here for the long term?..... Will content continue to be created for them or is there something else around the corner??...... I know this medium is constantly trying to improve itself but I don't want to invest all my money into Genesis 2 if in a few months from now I'll have to start all over again.... Hard question to answer I know and sorry for the long post but I would really appreciate any info or advice... Thank you.

    Content is still being created for V4, and it is years old. A new figure on the market doesn't mean that the older figures are completely ignored, I think you have the wrong end of the stick on that one.

    There is no reason why you can't use Genesis or even Genesis 2, they are both free, and come with many extras like hair and clothing. V4 clothing can be made to fit to Genesis and Genesis 2 using Autofit. Genesis is also UV Mapped for V4, M4 and K4, and you can use

    I can use V4, K4, V5 and V6 skins with G2F. You can also transfer morphs from V4 to Genesis and G2f/M with GenX

    The only people who can tell you the future plans of DAZ are DAZ themselves, and you can use the Help > Contact Us button for that, but nobody on the forums here will be able to tell you.

    It is unlikely that figure development will end with G2F, but it shouldn't matter that much if you can still use your earlier bought items.

    If there is anything in particular you want to know about using V4 stuff with Genesis/G2 please ask.
