Light Questions
Okay, this is something of a two parter but they both have a subject in common: lights.
The first question is: is there a way to make a light appear where I want when I create it rather than at some other random point way on the other side of the scene I'm creating? I spend a lot of tiime first trying to track down where the light even is then I can never find where I want to put it because I can't see where the spot is anymore. It'd be way more convenient if there was a way to just put a light in the room I want to do a scene in.
Second question: I bought a couple scenes from the Shop...and I can't really use them because everything's so dark. It's black save for the yellow outlines of objects when I hover my cursor over them. Is there a way to turn the lights on?
Thanks for your help! :-)

First question: expand the extra options (see button at the bottom), then make sure to apply the active viewport transforms, this should move the light right in front of your current vision, at the very least very close to your current position in the scene.
Second question... depends on your viewport render settings. Assuming you're using the default (texture shaded) you need to turn off the scene lights. Default keyboard combination (I think)... is control-l. But you can also find this option in the 'Window' menu. Another option... (sorta). Darkness can also happen if you load a specific iRay environment, you could also consider switching your viewport engine to 'Filament' and see if that improves things. Someitmes (not always) this can even provide a very useful preview.
Use the drawstyle options menu for this... (see attachment)
Also, when you have lights in the scene, you can look throught them when you select them at the dropdown list at the top-right corner of the viewport (Perspective view, cameras, lights) and you can zoom in/out and move it around to point it where you want.
