Help with clothing in pose

I'm pretty new to daz, so sorry if this is obvious. When I put a shirt on a figure and then move the figure into a preset pose with a lot of bending (see screenshots) the shirt seems to kind of stop fitting the middle of the figure. This seems like more than just poke through--it looks like the shirt deforms when the pose is applied. I've had poke through in previous scenes I've made, and I've been able to adjust it with various helpers. But in this case it seems to be the deformed shape of the shirt that causes the problem. It happens with similar clothing items as well, though some have better results than others. Dforce items seem to be the worst. Does anyone know what is causing this and how to fix it?

For reference, this is a genesis 8 female.

Many/most dForce items must be simulated in order to look ok.

And the shirt in your images look like an dForce item.

  • Thank you for your response! I'm sorry it took me so long to see it--I'm new to the forums and since I never recieved a notification about my post, I thought it didn't go through until I discovered it now. I ended up using a different shirt that didn't produce the effect as badly. The one I used was dForce, but my experience with dForce is that when a part of the clothing intersects with a figure or something else, it tends to stick there. I assumed that the clothing would've continued to be stuck on one side of their torso even after simulation, but since I didn't try it I don't know. In any case, I appreciate the help!

It is correct, that if the dForce item intersects before starting simulation you will have potential problems.

That is why I usually always starts in memorized pose and use timeline to set my pose.

  • Ah, I didn't think of that. I bet that would've fixed it. Thank you!
