Daz Install Manager no longer seeing older Library content

This morning Daz IM stopped seeing my older files in the Library.   It lets me install and remove new content but doesn't see any of the previous library information.   Along with rebooting I've done a number of things:

1) Daz sees my older files and they work fine.
2) New content I install via IM shows up in my Library (verifying it's pointed to the correct location)
3) I can uninstall new content via IM and it's removed from my Library.
4) I've uninstalled and re-installed PostgreSQL CMS but no change
5) I've run DB Maintenance within Daz:  "Process Metadata Queue" and "Re-Import Metadata"
6) Verified the CMS port number (17237) is the same in both DAZ and IM
7) Finally I've downloaded and installed the latest version of IM  (I didn't uninstall the previous version though)

It seems everything is working fine with the exception of IM not being able to view all of the fiels I've loaded prior to this morning.   I've also checked the log file from IM and I can see where it suddenly showed that I only have 1 installed file when 2 minutes earlier I had over 2 thousand. No error was recorded in the log.

Does anybody know of any way to get Install Manager to scan the Daz Libray and recognize the files that it uploaded previously?   I'd like to avoid having to reinstall my entire library if possible.   :D

  • Most likelysomething has happend to the manifests folder, which is how Install Manager tracks what it has installed (it  doesn't use the database as that stores only relative paths). Check the Advanced Settings in DIM to be sure that the manifests Archive is still correctly identified, and make sure that the folder wasn't cleared in error 9if it was, do you have back ups of that location that you could restore)

  • Thanks for the information Richard.  I did check the directory path in DIM and it was correct to the folder that was on my hard drive.   Looking at the original MinifestFiles folder I do see that it only contained files for products I've installed since the problem started.   I'm not sure how but it looks they somehow got deleted.   After doing some more testing I've decided to just reload my Daz Library again.   It's going to take a few hours but at least it's working.   Plus I got to learn about the ManifestFiles so that's a good thing at least.  :D       Thanks for the info as it was something I wasn't aware of.
