Shader Mixer Guidance

I'm wanting to learn more about the Shader Mixer, but have found little info on it (how rare).  The most recent vids I'm finding are ~ 8 years old, done with Daz 3.x, and pretty low rez.

A good start it looks, but are there other forums specific to this topic, or perhaps more recent, legible vids?  My main interest isn't so much making shaders, but to understand it's use mostly with UltraScenery Creator terrains.
