I notice several legacy products I've picked up on closeout require it but I no longer see it in the store. Is it available?

Turns out I do have it so .....doh!

See there is my gripe. Why would an addon for a retired product be available? It really makes zero practical sense.

For people who already have the required product?

Better question is why retire any product at all? Not like they are taking up warehouse space

The usual answers offered are it may no longer be something the maker feels represents their curent abilities, or something that isn't selling but is coming up in search results may be stopping people from seeing the things that might sell.

I think the real trouble is the meta data on these old items is probably not too accurate. Selling a product for a retired item, doesn't strike me as something Daz would do on purpose because it is about to create support tickets and calls for refunds.

There are probably quite a few still, like myself that don't use metadata or smart content, so that wouldn't be an issue for them.
