can't categorize new products

Well yesterday I bought a couple of things on Daz and as usual I installed them with DIM and while they install and are usable they didn't show up "as new" so it took me a few minutes to find them. Then they wouldn't categorize! It creates the container "folders" but nothing is added to those folders. I can, however, categorize older products just fine. It is just the new ones that are giving me issues. And as I said the new products in question do actually work fine, just won't categorize.
I tried removing via DIM and reinstalling to no avail. I am guessing that my database got corrupt (I am still using the older Valentina) and needs to be rebuilt *shudder*. The export of user data still works fine so at least I shouldn't loose anything. And smart content still works (although I don't use it other than making sure the CMS is running and working ok), and searches still work so it is a bit unusual type of corruption compared to the others I have see/heard of.
Other than a nuke and rebuild of the database, any other suggestions?

The metadata itself might be glitched, while the database itself is still OK. Doesn't happen much any more, but it does sometimes. Might be best to open a support ticket and report it.
I would say that your database is corrupt. Export User Data if you haven't recently (but back up the UserData files if you exported them at some point, since you won't know how much or little of the corrupt database is successfully exported), reset the database, and re-import metadata.
Yes I am feeling that more and more. I tried several other products to install but they won't show up nor let me categorize them. So it is not just one or two products that is doing it it is all, leaning me to the same conclusion. I did export user data and it seemed to complete without any issue, but are you saying that even if it looks like it worked ok it may not have? Ugh I sure hope not. I always thought that if the export completed without error you were fine. :/
Well I just did a reset and reimport of meta data and user data. Took a bit but everything seems to be up and going. Not to mention that nothing seems to have been lost. I also just installed a product and showed up as new and let me categorize it. Whew.
