Do I Need Ps Files In DazStudio When Pkg has DS Files Also

Probably Ask and Answered; Sorry.:-)

I am installing HDR ProSets Yosemite Pack One and don't quite understand about the Poser files in the pkgs.

    In some cases. older products may still have a Poser component which is needed in DS but as for these HDRI's no you do not need the Poser versions if you don't use Poser. Same with the Ca (Carrara)

    Thank you Addict; I was afraid that I would get the "sometimes" answer - which is why I don't quite understand the ifs and buts - But thank you for the specifics in this case.

    Yep I am an Addict which is the same title as your "New Member" tag is. You won't be the first or last to make that mistake...I have been called worse. :)

    Anyway yes Poser formats in DS. Long story short DAZ3D acquired the usage rights to use many Poser Formats around 11 years or so ago. Recently we have seen Daz Studio move away from those poser formats making many new products DS only. But there is a large number of products that use the Base mesh in CR2 format (Poser) and have DS material presets supplied left in the store.
