Missing various components in 4.7

Hi
I downloaded studio a couple of days ago and for some reason, I seem to be missing quite a lot of content. I am following a tutorial on youtube where it shows you how to create the barefoot dancer animation. However, I don't have the same props, wardrobe or smart content that she is using in the tutorial after a basic install.

I also seem to be missing animate lite and have animate2 but this is disabled according to the plugin manager. All of my content is appearing in the content manager tab and not smart manager. I installed the following items manually into My DAZ 3D Library and also have a folder called My Library.

GenesisStarterEssentials
Genesis2MaleStarterEssentials
Genesis2FemaleStarterEssentials
SceneBuilderforDAZStudio
DefaultLightsandShadersforDAZStudio

Guess my question is, what should I have and where should it be after I installed the components above. Thanks

If you installed manually then the items won't have been added to the database - that's one of the things the Install Manager does for you. Assuming he content is loading correctly from the Content Library pane, just not in Smart Content, open the Content Library option menu (the lined button in the top corner of the pane, or right-click the tab) and select Content DB Maintenance, then check Re-Import Metadata, click Accept, click Accept in the enxt dialogue, and after a while everything should appear in Smart Content. If the content isn't loading, but reporting missing .dsf files, you probably just unzipped straight to the My DAZ 3D Library folder and now have an unneeded Content folder - either mover everything out of the Content folder and into the My DAZ 3D Library folder, then reimport the metadata, or just install using the DAZ Install Manager.

    Hi Richard
Thanks for reply. I tried your suggestion, but after re-importing the metadata, there is still no entries in smart content. I have removed everything out of the the content folder in the My DAZ 3D Library folder. There are no errors reported or ref to missing dsf files. Why also in animate lite not installed? Does that come with clean install i studio 4? Thanks

Where, if anywhere, is the Dfolder? Do you have a Runtime\Support folder?

AniMate 2 should work for 30 days after installing DS, then it becomes AniMate Lite. Did you try entering a serial number for AniMate 2? If you do that with the DS serial number that can break the activation, I think you would need to open a support ticket to get that resolved.

My folder path is: C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library. I have not entered a serial number for animate2. Where do I enter ticket support? Thanks

BTW is it possible to install 3rd party content via DIM or is it best to install manually.

Sorry, I meant to ask "Where, if anywhere, is the Data folder?" - not sure where the ata went.

No, DIM isn't meant for use with third party content I'm afraid.

my data folder is in My DAZ 3D Library. Is this correct? There is no support folder. Thanks

Yes, the Data folder should be in the content directory not a sub-folder so that sounds right. The Support folder should be in the Runtime folder.
