Graphics card compatatbilty

I'm looking to upgrade my 2012 Mac to Mojave.... I know that Daz will run on it (but not Big Sur), but I need to upgrade my graphics card. Will a AMD Sapphire HD 7950 4 gig wirk with Daz? Will I see a boot in performance from my ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB?

    No

    Iray is an Nvida product.

    Amd's cards will not work with it.

    AMD cards will  be useful for dforce simulations.

    As far as I know the current version of Iray in DS does not support GPU rendering on any Mac - the minimum driver version is newer than the latest driver avaialble on Macs.

    You can hope the Filament renderer ray tracing functionality is improved in DAZ Studio 5 when it releases. I wouldn't upgrade hardware until you learn whether that is the case or not.
