Viewing other objects in strand-based hair editor?

Hi all! I'm trying to make strand-based hair for a character with horns. The horns are a prop fitted to the head. I want the hair to be styled around the horns, but it's getting really annoying having to stop, close the editor, check my work in the scene view, open the editor again, and keep tweaking. Is there any way I can view the props in the editor so I can try to work around them?

  • It's a much-requested feature. The only work-around i can think of is to export a composite OBJ and set the hair up on that, then use that as a proxy for the main figure and attachments (or transfer the maps if the styling can be done without the horns) - not helpful for animation or mutliple poses of the figure.
