Backgrounds

I have gotten the gist of posing, lighting, cameras, etc. (not great but good enough for now).
But I think my pictures could use help with the backgrounds. Is there a generic backdrop that I can paint over and use as a background?

DAZ Studio? Assuming you are using the current version, go to the Environment pane (Window>Panes(Tabs)>Environment), Set the Active type to Backdrop, then click the button to the left of the colour bar, select Browse..., and load your backdrop image.

Also, you can find a default backdrop in Content Library under the My DAZ Library>Environments>Landscapes>Cyclorama

You can change the image in the Parameters tab on your right column but display aspects are a bit sketchy (since it is a multipart duf). You can also click the Environments tab below Scenes (top left box) and change the 'Active Type' to backdrop. From there you can click the down arrow and choose an image (browse).

I recently figured out that you can create a plane (as the Admin said) and put an image on it. It created an extra 'floor' plane so my chars didn't look to be floating in the backdrop. The back pane I rotated the X axis 90 degrees, so I could get a rough 'studio' setup.
