Would someone please inform me as to where in tarnation DAZ Studio stores the texture maps? What f-ing format does DAZ Studio use?
Can't find squat after downloading and installing the Genesis Starter Kit. There must be texture maps because it comes with basic characters. Very frustrating to say the least.

I'm creating a wrap-around body tattoo and need the dang texture map for placement.

Any and all suggestions and or help greatly appreciated.

why it is f-ing easy when you know how. Load Genesis > Select Genesis > Surfaces Pane > Select the material zone of choice > Click on the very small square showing the texture map > Select Browse and it will open up the folder where the textures are located on your hard drive. Generally jpg format but it can use PSD, PNG and Tiff's. Never tried BMP.

oh and welcome to the forums.

my pleasure...oh and just a few words of wisdom and don't take this the wrong way but give yourself some time to learn Daz Studio, there is a lot to learn and you won't do it quickly. These forums are a great help in learning all this. Check out my render thread, page one post one has some links to help in that regard. :) Have fun.

Also, if you use DIM to install your products, you can look the product up in DIM and then right click and look for the installed files; it will list all of them for you with their paths. They will normally be in your My DAZ Library in Runtime>Textures.
