Help with SRMS by Sickleyield
Since I do have a so many V4 outfits I figured it would be nice to use them on Genesis.
With the Autofit option in Daz Studio most items fit great BUT Skirts and Dress not so much.
I get strange looking results and heard it has to do with the feet or something and to get SRMS by Sickleyield to get rid of the problem.
Well, i got it today and have NO bloody clue how to use it.
I read the manual a dozen times and stil have no idea.
I do not Model my own clothes for V4 or any other character, I just buy the clothes.
I load for example Genesis in the Scene, I than load a V4 dress or skirt and the Autofit dialog pops up, I choose V4 as the figure the outfit was made for and than choose SRMS Dress Base and hit accept.
So far so good.
Now in the Manual it says it is Important to load the clothe Item to Library BUT I can not figure out WHERE in what Library?
In the same space where the ORIGINAL clothe item is or do I have to make a folder or what?
I am soooo lost and I need help, step by step if possible. sighhh

Hi!
After you Autofit, but with the figure still zeroed, use file-save as-assets-figure/prop asset. It will ask if you want to give it a vendor and product name. I use vendor name !Converted and product name the actual name of the V4 product. You should save it in your Genesis Clothing folders under the item name as well.
I have a question about this... as I'm trying to convert a V3 outfit (Dragonworld: Wildenlander). Everything does very well and the SRMS system does a much better job than the standard options. I've even found that doing the top and pants with the body suit gives a better fit. Heck, I was able to get the cloak to work pretty well using the dress option.
My problem is with the shoes. The shoes have a slight heel, so the foot needs to actually slightly elevated with the toes on the ground for the shoe to match, but no matter which option I choose (BootsThigh, SRMBootBase, SRMBootForGen4, SRMBootForGen4NoToes), the foot never adjusts and the boot stays in the original position. Usually I have the most success with the SRMBootBase, but no luck here at all.
Any suggestions?
Well, I found out the problem and it had nothing to do with AutoFit or SRMS.
The Wildenlander for V3 set required that you hid the foot once you added the boot. If I remember correctly, this was something that we did pretty regularly in Poser to make clothing look good without poke through. Once I hid both feet and toes, she turned out pretty good.
I did run into an issue with the dagger sheath not parenting properly as well as the dagger and sword. They should have been in their respective sheaths, but no luck. Once I posed the character, the sheath did not stay with the thigh, but it's currently parented to the thigh of the pants. I'll move it to the thigh of Genesis and see if the same problem exists.
Here's how she turned out after I lightened the texture's specular color to keep it from being too dark.
I just want to say thanks for the SRMS system. It's allowed me to keep using items I bought almost a decade ago and made my wardrobe so much more versatile and useful. It's been worth every penny.
I'm glad you were able to figure it out! Happy rendering.
