Group items and duplicate as a single item?

The picture below is a stack of books.
It's made by a bunch of node instances stacked and posed.

Is there a way to select all of them and create a copy of the stack as a single item? (Or even copy them as a group of seperate items).
I tried making them a group, and duplicating that, but it just did a single book, not a stack).

EDIT: Looks like Duplicate Node Hierarchies gets me the "copy as a group of seperate items)

Parent each of the books to the one under it, select the first one, and Duplicate Node Hierarchy will then do the trick...

Put the all into a group, then duplicate if (if you want to be able to change the copy, or make instances.

You can also save as a Scene Subset then they will load exactly where they were in the scene from which you saved.
