The most realistic lighting

For the community, what is the most realisting lighting pack in the shop, for the human skin, for 3DDelight engine? It's not important if it is very heavy lights to render, I have no problems with hardware.

    Good question. It depends on your scene and its setup. I use the best quality of UberEnvironment, but many artists pay a lot of attention to the lighting setup, so much that they don't use presets, but build their own from scratch.

    Octane is really good solution but i have graphic card of AMD and OpenCL is not supported and i can't use it! Is true, depends to much factors.. But what I was wondering if there is some general lighting that, with a great ambient occlusion, good color tone, which gave the highest possible realism to the human skin. Obviously to make a difference will be the post-production but if the starting point (render) is already good would be better!

    The reality plugin for DAZ Studio unbiased rendering made relatively easy. The lights behave like real world lights. Does have a bit of the learning curve but well worth it.

    Apart from light you need realistic surfaces to go with the light, some disagree with me but IMHO Surfaces and Light go hand in hand if wanting realistic results.

    The reality plugin for DAZ Studio unbiased rendering made relatively easy. The lights behave like real world lights. Does have a bit of the learning curve but well worth it.

    I have read of rendering times really lenght with Reality, is true? This is a little problem for me, up to twenty minutes to render me is fine but if we begin to be there one hour and over a frame is something I'd rather avoid .. For this I was interested in 3Ddelight, that with my hardware and advanced settings (shading rate at 0.2 ) I'm about a 15 minutes to render!

    I also agree, and Szark knows I'm a fan of his art. Still, all things being equal the render engine will influence the final result.

    In the two images below, eact same camera angle, and same M4 texture placed on Genesis. No change to surfaces, no tweaks. I placed two mesh lights in the Reality render (100 watts and 200 watts respectively) , and then for the Uber2 env render I replaced the lights with two spots at the same angle and position and set shadow to raytrace plus the ambient sphere set to 90% intensity.
    Both look fine, one looks better.

    I agree with that FirstBastion up to the point that many surfaces are set up in a way that will respond to better lighting from the off and I do agree the lighting is the major influence in realistic results just not the be all. :) But at the same time I have seen many Lux renders that could be achieved in DS because they haven't gone to the trouble of adjusting surfaces.

    Then Reality/Luxrender is definitely not for you! Unless the image is very small and the lighting and surfaces are optimal you will not get a clean finished render in 20 mins. Render times vary enormously, even for images of the same resolution, but many users report render times in 10s of hours. I'm too impatient for that, so if I have a scene that is obviously going to take that kind of time I will usually try some other strategy (of lighting or materials), or just try something else entirely. My typical render times are between 1 and 5 hours. (I'm talking about CPU rendering here as I don't have a suitable card for GPU rendering so I don't have any experience with it. I will try and fix that when I am due to update my system.)
