Melding Models
Is there a way to unparent one portion of a model and attach it to another? I want to put together something like the attached photo, which in this case involved mixing three different figures (two dragons and the genesis base), all of which then need to be posed and arranged separately. Preferably I would want them all as one model, so that I can just shift them around the scene as one unit.

Do you mean unparent the dragons head from it's body and onto someone else? Not as such no.
Those aren't individual props that form the body but a single mesh broken down into face groups. Which is a completely different animal from what you want to do.
But you can parent the dragons entire body onto the base model and it will move with it. You can also pick what part of the model you parent to. So I would assume chest in this case.
The only alternative is to export the models into blender or hexagon. Remove all of the hidden polygons. Weld everything together. Set up new face groups. Import back into Daz and then re-rig and re-weight map the whole thing. Which is a monstrous undertaking to say the least. And I most likely forgot a step or two.
You can group the models together by creating a new group (Create > New Group), parenting the models to it, and then hiding those parts you don't need by clicking on the Eye icons in the Scene tab. You can then move it around the scene and position the parts as if it were one model.
