Troubleshooting BSOD on brand new Windows 10 desktop [SOLVED]

JoltrastJoltrast Posts: 199

I have a brand new custom built Windows 10 desktop with a Gen11 motherboard, i9 CPU and 3080Ti GPU.

Everything seemed to be fine, DAZ was glitchy about logging in (it crashed every time) but was otherwise working (in offline mode).
While I was previewing a simple scene in iRay and switching views the whole thing locked up and I got a CLOCK WATCHDOG TIMEOUT which leads me to think DAZ and the CPU are not playing nicely together?

My question is, how do I troubleshoot this? Is it most likely a driver issue? If not a driver what else am I looking for. (DAZ is the only program I've installed and there were some glitches as explained above).

Thanks in advance!

Leaving this in case anyone else encounters the same problem.

I spent over an hour with an nVidia tech last night and we went through EVERYTHING!
In my case switching from the "Creator" driver to the "Gamer" driver seemed to yeld more stablilty. In addition I took my KVM out of the equation *cry*. (So you may want to check anything that's attached to the monitor if you have dongles, adapters etc.)
