Glass shader not transparent

Hi,

i use a iray glas shader with a frosted glass. The result looks as expected in the iray viewport. But in the iray render the glass is opaque. Any idea?

Greetings Zapp

Frosted glass is opaque. If you want clear glass use the clear glass shader.

Frosted glass should be semi-transparent not opaque. The "solid glass" shader will block almost all the light entering a scene (room). The "thin-clear" glass shader is probably the one you want and you can get it to look frosted by playing with the shader nodes.

    FTFY.

translucent: [adjective] permitting the passage of light:. transmitting and diffusing light so that objects beyond cannot be seen clearly. clear, transparent.

And, OBTW, it sounds like tthe OP IS using the translucent shader since it renders correctly in iRay preview.

@OP - sounds like you'll have to play around with the shader translucency and opacity in the parameters tab (although if the shader were made properly it should work correctly out of the box).
