planning on a new pc - any advice on the parts ?

these are the parts i've chosen so far. nothing is set in stone (other than the case i've already bought) but i want a white/silver pc so the parts reflect that. also, i have a ssd already which i forgot to include in the list.

also, i know i'm in for a difficult time getting a gpu these day, but a 3060 with 12 gb soulds like it would be amazing. if you knew what i'm working with now you'd all laugh.

You might want to add a larger HD for your content, unless you are very disciplined about uninstalling the things you are not currently using.

I guess it depends on what you're going to use it for, but assuming it's mainly DAZ and Iray I think it looks reasonable. Though it seems you're getting like 6 case fans and liquid cooler for the CPU? You're not planning on overclocking are you?

Looks like a RTX 3060 is only a 170 watt GPU (they're getting  more powerful yet more efficient in recent years), so I think all that cooling might be quite a bit of overkill. I have 2 GPU's (250 watts + 150 watts) and only a few case fans and air cooled CPU, and temps are fine even though the whole computer draws a bit over 400watts during a render since they pretty much never draw full rated power. I doubt you'll get to even half of that, unless you're planning on getting another GPU? And 750 watts power supply is fine, but again quite a bit of overkill lMO, since I'm guessing your whole computer might only draw like 200 watts during a render.  

And personally I'd get like a 1980's vintage Intel 386 since CPU's are so rarely used nowadays, in favor of GPU's. I've got an 8 core Ryzen that just sits there most of the time getting bored. Although if you're going to do video editing and some other stuff it might help, depending on the software. 

Geez, have prices gone up that much in the last couple of years? $2,200 for a desktop like that?

I agree with ebergerly about the liquid cooler... probably not necessary for that rig. BTW, $500 for an RTX3060!!, they cost $1300 in my country. I'm obviously living in the wrong country.

you're right, GPU prices are insane. i've gotten some advice on reddit that if i'm willing to get in line at a local microcenter i might be able to score one - i'm not working now so i think i'm going to try that way, but using the MSRP for the card was wishful thinking on my part.
