Rendering with a default background, ie no scenery seems to eliminate the background colour leaving it invisible. Is there an option to include the background that I haven't found?
4.6 used to translate the background colour set for each view, ie posing, lighting, render, whereas the environment colour is the same for each view. My question is; has the option for different preset background colours for each window gone in 4.7?
You can set the viewport colour, but that won't render. So if you are wanting to render agaisnt different colours, yes it has gone - if you want different background colours to work against, go to Window>Style>Customise Colours, set Use Independent Viewport Colours at the bottom (if it isn't set) and chamge the Viewport colour in the chip above that, then Accept and go on to the next viewport.

Go to Window > Panes (Tabs) > Environment, select your colour, then make sure that visible in render is set to 'On'.
Got that and thank you, but...

Thanks in advance,

Thank you Richard and Jimmyc,
Now that I know I'm not going mad, I'll work around this change in v4.7
All the best,
Geoff
