Clothing and Props Do Not Pose

DISCLAIMER: I am using clothing and props designed for V4 on a G2F.

I'm not sure if this is the cause for the issue I'm having, I understand if it is the reason I suppose.

I loaded the female, dressed her, smoothed everything to fit and whatnot but when I go to pose her, the clothes stay in place in the T pose. I feel they should at least move into the selected pose as best as possible no? The clothes are parented to the G2F.

Any help appreciated. Maybe I'm attempting the impossible?

Instead of parenting the clothes to G2F, you need to autofit them to her. I think you need the V4 for Genesis 2Female product from the store to be able to autofit from V4 to G2F.

Assuming this is in Daz Studio ... ensure they are 'fitted to' the G2F (Properties, Misc), you'll know when this is done as each will pop up an auto-fit dialog box asking you o specify the original character the item was for and what sort of item it is. Ensure the items are not Poser dynamic clothes which will actually be props (.pp2) and not 'character' (.cr2) files and will not work on DS.

And I think this is the issue. They are indeed Poser "props".

I did do auto fit, didn't work well so I manually moved into place and then parented.

This is Daz Studio, apologies for not specifying. Thank you for your help.

***EDIT - They are .cr2 files... Uzilite Liquid clothes... So now what?

This is the product I mentioned. The store search is nearly impossible to use these days.

There is also an interactive lesson available in the free section of the store. http://www.daz3d.com/using-auto-fit-victoria-4-to-genesis-2-female

Edit: looks like we are cross posting at the same time.

Converting them to .cr2 would imply you have also rigged them, which is way, waaaaaay beyond my paygrade ;)

I didn't rig or convert them. They are .cr2 files, I just thought they were the Poser things like you said since they have a P4 or PP. They are indeed useable though. I just can't figure it out.

Note to self: wake up before responding to posts! :)

The only Uzilite 'Liquid' clothes I have seen are either for Victoria 3 (http://www.daz3d.com/liquid-knight-on-sky-16 http://www.daz3d.com/liquid-halo-on-sky-16) or G2F (http://www.daz3d.com/liquid-halo-remix), so I am not sure which set you are trying.

If you just parented them to the figure they won't adjust to the figure pose.
Parenting clothes just means that if the whole figure moves then the clothes will follow: let's say that for example you translate your G2F on X axis, the clothes will be translated on X axis too.
Individual parts of the clothes won't follow individual parts of the figures though, you parent the whole clothes to the whole figure: if you move one arm the clothes' arm won't move.
If you want individual parts of the clothes to follow individual parts of the figures you have to use "fit to" option, and that means autofit if you use V4 items on Genesis or G2F.

If you don't want to use autofit then you can try parenting but you will have to pose the clothes themselves to match the figure's pose, it can't be automatic that way.
