Rendering with Preview Lights Without Removing Other Lights?
I'm setting up a scene...the big stuff is done, and I've set up the lights I want to use, and I'm pleased with how the renders are looking with them.
However, I still have some small things to add--- Props and background items to liven up the scene. During that process, I'll need to fire off some test renders to make sure those things are showing up right, but really don't need the scene's lights and the time overhead the cost...just using the basic preview lights that render BEFORE you add lights to the scene should work, and be speedy....
SO, CAN I RENDER WITH THE PREVIEW LIGHTS without removing the "good lights"? Or is it pretty much, delete the final project lights until they're needed?

Either delete them, or select them all (there's a Select all lights command in the Parameters pane option menu) and set their Visible parameter to off.
Having them all vis-off will do it?
Had I not been posting at 4 am, I wold have just experimented rather than dealing with a thought that popped in my head while trying to sleep. :D
Thanks!
BlackFeather1973 has a script to help with that. It is discussed in this thread.
That script is great! Thanks!
(Also great that someone else had the same thoughts I did re-simplifying lights for tests...makes me feel like I'm starting to think like a good daz user:)!
