Export to fbx without hidden items
I am not sure if I am doing this right or not (most likely not), but I have a character, that has a dress, and the dress has two lower sections. I took those two sections and brought the opacity down to 0 so the dress now looks like a shirt. In daz it looks fine, but when I export it to fbx and import it into Unity, those two sections are not zero opacity, but full opacity.
Is there a particular way I have to export it? Or is there a way I can delete those two sections from the article of clothing?
In the FBX exporter I clicked "No Hidden" thinking that it wouldn't export those hidden pieces. I was wrong.
What can I do?

When exporting most objects, many adjustments to things like textures strengths and opacity settings are ignored and the complete model is exported. You might try actually removing the geometry in DAZ Studio for those portions before exporting which should give you the result you are looking for.
I experimented using the Geometry Editor tool by Selecting Polygons, Hiding Selected Polygons and Deleting Hidden Polygons. It can be very tricky and you may even have to export the item first as an OBJ, reimport to remove the polygons, and then export as FBX.
Be cautious and SAVE, SAVE, SAVE as some geometry editing operations are "undoable". DS should warn you of these first but good saving practices are always a plus.
It ignores parts hidden by shutting the eye in the scene file
you can click offf pelvis thighs etc or skirt/handles if any but it may not match surface groups and have a jagged edge
just hiding not deleting by surface name with geometry editor may also work
Using the opacity setting is pretty much just placing a transparency map over the material zone it will not alter what is exported as geometry. You would need to either hide the sections using the scene tab (Hidden Geometry using the scene tab will not be exported. ) or edit the actual geometry as Rolow describes above.
