Need to analyse a scen for corrupted/problematic textures, surfaces, shaders...

I was able to track down most  render and  viewport  issues in my scenes to certain assets/characters. When deleting, saving and restarting I was able to render the scene via iray with everything in the 12GB VRAM of my GPU which otherwise crashed the GPU to unresponsive and succeddingly closing the render with a black frame.

Now, of course, these assets are there for a reason and the one character has mutliple poses for visual story telling in those scenes and it would eb a major pain to recreate everythign step by step.

Question: is there a known tool that allows to find out which textures or shaders clog the VRAM to a crash?
