How to convert an SD figure in an existing scene to HD with their HD addon?

Okay, so the situation I'm in is that I have a couple of scenes with the standard version of some characters (Juan Carlos 8 and Dain 8, if that matters) already loaded and set up ready to render. However I just bought their respective HD addons and I'd like to upgrade the figures to HD, but because everything is already set up in the scene, I'd rather not have to load the HD figure in and have to redo the pose, clothing, materials etc. if there's a way to just upgrade them.

I know the HD morphs are listed in the Actor category of the figure, but is there anything else I need to do apart from set those?

Any help would be appreciated :)

Change subd to 3 or 4, apply hd morph through shaping tab, and if you have the ability, remove normal from texture.

The SubD level (under mesh resolution in the Parameters pane) may alrady be high enough. The HD morphs are just that = morphs for the figure; they differ from non-HD morphs in that they can manipulate the virtual points created by SubD (up to level three or four usually) while standard morphs can adjust only the vertices of the base mesh.
