Texture Weirdness - Specifically with BD models

I have this issue with BD Cassidy, BD Roula, BD Sorcha and BD Vanja and BD Louisa. (see attached attached picture - the one with no smile - that illustrates the issue).
Other models load fine: See attached...the one with the smile is like everything else.
They render fine but the preview is really whacky. Is there a setting in the surfaces that I can change?

Are they using a custom shader?
How can I tell if it's a custom shader?
Select a surface and read the shader name near the top of the Surface pane. Another possiblity is simply the use of some of the channels in the normal shader that the preview cannot display, like fresnel.
Texture shaded preview can't handle complex materials, so that can happen depending on how the skin is setup. It's totally normal as long as they render fine.
Might be a skin based on Anagenesis? I think her older characters used something like that. It looks very different in the preview. Renders well and quickly, though.
