Glow on hologram?

I have the Cyberpunk Gadgets for Genesis 8, and am trying to render the head hologram with a semi translucent holo-type glow that will reflect on the character's skin. There are lots of settings on the gadget that I have no idea what means, so any help would be appreciated. Is it post work? Is it some secret lighting? Is there something in the item I already have I can do? 

Added image of the settings, and of the effect I would like to get, taken from another product altogether.

    You are able to control the glow effect using the Emission → Luminance value. The default value of 100 is too bright IMHO.

    Try maybe 25 there. You can also further tweak it reducing the Geometry → Cutout Opacity value.

    This is a quick render using an Emission → Luminance value of 25 and a Geometry → Cutout Opacity value of 0.1
