My Gen 8.1 male body disappears on reopening file

Is anyone else having this issue? Am I in the right place to ask this question? Here goes...

Downloaded Gen 8.1 male and after hours of adjustments and perfecting my individual look, I saved as a scene. When I reloaded the nest day, his body had turned into that of a young teenager (standard blank male body, perhaps?) The other morphs I played with appear to be present and therefore saved but his Gen 8.1 body failed no matter how many times I saved it. I hope I've been clear and that someone may have a clue as to where to start debugging or adjusting.

Were you using morphs that came with sliders, or were you using custom morphs (spawned from a dForm or imported with one of the Morph Loaders)? Which version of Daz Studio?
