Millenium horse; no textures or manes found

New to this forum, so bear with me. I've just purchased the millennium horse pack, installed offline using DIM, but the textures can't be found. The horse is there, but without manes or textures. In explorer I find the textures in a folder in E/contents DAZ/textures/daz/animals/millhorse, a database I created on another partition. Strangely other textures (for bovines, e.g.) are found in a folder 'textures' in the main runtime folder.
I am aware that it's complicated, and my database might be a mess because I've also copied content folders from 3rd parties into the hopefully right folders (same names). I've uninstalled the millhorse a few times, reinstalled, installed the separated packages as well through DIM, but to no avail.
I hope someone can help me sort this out. Thanks!

My installation is kosher and my Millenium Horse looks like a plastic toy too. Disappointed. So many recent sale items are old products with textures etc scattered to the four winds and no obvious method for an inexperienced user to assemble the thing they paid for. I've wasted so much time recently on old Poser formats (I've never used or owned Poser. I must have spent an hour trying to get materials onto Desire hair and gave up. Likewise the Royal Coaches.

I just checked my Mil Horse install through DIM, and all of the textures are installed into Runtime/Textures/DAZ/Animals. In fact, everything for the Mil Horse is installed into the Runtime folder, since it is all in Poser Format.
If you installed using DIM, you can select the Mil Horse in the Installed tab, right click, and then select 'Show Installed Files', that will tell you what library folder it has been installed to (at the top), and the path to every file that has been installed. These are all clickable links.
Make sure that the library that DIM is installing to is listed as both DAZ Studio 'AND' Poser Formats in Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager.
@valkeerie
If you are having problems with using DS materials, please ask in the forum. In the case of Desire hair, there are DS materials presets for this item, so there is no need to use the Poser ones at all. Also, can you post a link to the Royal Coaches you are referring to?
DAZ Studio, up until fairly recently, only ever used Poser Format, it only changed to the new DUF format for the most recent figures, starting with Genesis. There is no reason why Poser Format should not work correctly inside DAZ Studio, especially for items with separate DS Mats.
For the basic Millennium Horse, the material presets will be in "Content Library > Poser Formats > [your content folder] > Pose > MAT Mil Horse”
Thank you guys, I'll check this out.
Is it normal that the horse and foal are located in different locations? I have to check again, but at one time I found the foal only, not the horse, another time (perhaps after uninstalling and reinstalling, can't remember after all I tried), I just found the horse, and not the foal.
I saw them both as obj files in explorer, without mtl by the way. Is that normal too, the lacking mtl? Or should I look for cr2 files in DAZ?
I'm a newby in DAZ, so please forgive me silly questions :long:
You do not load these using the OBJ file, you would use the CR2 (Poser format) file from the Content Library pane.
Go to Content Library > Poser Formats > My DAZ 3D Library > Figures, and you will find the CR2 files in there. Look at my first post, it tells you how to find out where they were installed to, and how to make sure that DS knows the path to the files.
Thanks Jimmy, I found everything allright. I'm happy again!
EDIT: made 4 poses and rendered this in Terragen 3
That's quite a herd, lovely render!
I must look into Terragen3 sometime, I had an older version years ago.
Glad you got it all sorted out anyway, best wishes.
