Installing content manually

Okay, I'm looking to add a few things I've found online, but I have no idea how to "install" stuff without using the Daz installer. I found a page that walks through which folder to put things in but it seems to not be something I have. Can someone try and walk me through this?

You can either create a new content folder anywhere (almost) and install it into that, and then tell DS where it is, or install it into an already existing folder. In either case you wan run the search for new content so DS finds the content.

Different content is packaged differently. I unzip into a folder, then go into the content subfolder and copy all files/folders, move back up one folder level and past them here, alongside the (new empty) content folder. I can then delete the now empty content folder and the manifext file (only used by DIM, which I'm not using).

In DAZ STudio, Conten Library pane's menu > Content Directory Manager, you then add the folder that CONTIANS your runtime or DS contenf folders to the list of known folders. Then select the menu option to search for new content.

Note that if you have freebies from Renderosity or elsewhere, they may not be complete and you might have shuffle files around
    to get them to work.
