The background in my renders always is transparent. I can´t find out how to render a background color. Even if I change the color in viewport or color settings it does not render.
When you save a render as .png the background is in the alpha channel -- you need to either have your 2D image program display the background, or else render to .jpg or .bmp.
I am having a similar problem. If I render to PNG it is now (with the new version) coming out white but BMP and JPG are coming out black.
I was trying to use the new Willow scene and photoshoot, but it no longer show the base or background in the viewport or in the render. I think there may be some settings I need to change but not sure which ones.

I´ve just looked at the render window. In the final picture the background color is shown.
