Using PBRskin on Genesis 8 Character (from Genesis 8.1)

Is there any way to convert a PBRskin from a Genesis 8.1 character for use on a Genesis 8 character?
When I try to apply it, everything but the torso works fine. I tried to do it manually and got a little closer but the glossiness is ridiculous and the seams are visible.

If you apply the Base PNR Skin Shader first then copy and paste surfaces will work. However, if the textures used are for the new Genesis 8.1 UVs then they will not fit on Genesis 8. The two use the same base mesh so you could export an OBJ version of 8.1 (with not attachments such as lashes or tears and at base resolution) then load as a new UV set (Surfaces pane option menu) but you'd also need to recreate the new surface division to avoid weirdness. It's a fair bit of fiddle - why can you not use Genesis 8.1 directly?
Thank you for this information! I'm not using Genesis 8.1 because despite my update to 4.15 (DS) none of my morphs/sliders are showing and it's putting me at a bit of a setback for a project. So I exported a shaping preset from a Genesis 8 character and tried to apply it to a Genesis 8.1 character but it didn't take.
To get your morphs usable check this thread Beware their maybe issues caused but as far as I know none of us that have done this have had issues. I zipped mine up then removed the folders so I have them for the future. Keep in mind if they do any updates to G8.1 it will probably at them back.
Hopefully that fixed the link for some reason it wasn't wanting to copy correct.
