Victoria 4.2 - Purple Clothing

I read up a bit about this but the help was confusing and scattered.

Do I need to buy a separate skin texture for nudity / to apply clothing properly and if so, can someone point my dumbass in the right direction?

    You should find an alternative texture for V4 called "V4SimpleTorsoM_NG" and a Pose to apply it called "!All_Natural_NG"

    I've searched my entire directory and I can't find V4SimpleTorso anywhere, same with !All_Natural.

    That's strange, as, according to the store page, you should have them http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-2-base

    and the readme http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/4783/start

    That's where i'm searching. I have the base installed so I should have it but god knows where it is or how I get there.

    Did you install the Studio CF file? as the readme says

    "Victoria 4.2 Base StudioCF

    You can find new icons for loading this product in the following DAZ Studio Folders:
    “People:Victoria 4:Materials:V4 Sample-Res”
    “People:Victoria 4:Poses:V4 General”

    "

    so you should find it under People:Victoria 4:Materials:V4 Sample-Res

    It's installed but I don't see anything in either the Actors side search bar nor in the content search bar, nothing is coming up.

    Awesome, thanks. Are the nipples and pubic area supposed to be blank or have I goofed?

    Can you search for "all_natural_NG"? You should get 2 hits, you want the one that's a .dsb file.

    I believe that the NG in the texture name (“!All_Natural_NG”) stands for "No Gens" and indicates that it does not include details in the nipple/genital regions. If you want the basic V4.2 texture with those details, you would need to get http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-skin-maps-std-res.

    Additionally, almost any V4.2 character available in the DAZ3D store (and at other sites like Renderosity) will typically include the details missing from the NG texture included with the V4.2 base.

    Or the hi-res version if you need more detail.
