Cool Hair not rendering [don't bother]

Hi, it's the first time I've not given up on this hair   but, nothing I can think of will fix it. It should work out of the box and it seems other people can get it working but, I've uninstalled and reinstalled it, nothing. I don't have any tools selected by but the basic Scene Navigation tool. This is all I get.

Anyone able to help please?

don't bother, it seems it's like one of those doors that needs instructions. I loaded it with the hair and it worked.
