Hi,

need some help - and btw: my english is not the best so i would need some simple help.

I use DAZ3D since about 1 year - and everything i download and install with the DAZ3DIM tool works fine.

But now i have downloadet something from Renderosity. It´s now in a Zip file in the download area.
How can i install this stuff so to use like all other stuff i installed with DAZ3DIM ?

Actually i just can import the scene by inporting every single part of it.
And then i have to find every single texture and so on.

This is much to complex for me.

Isn´t there a way to install the scene like i do with the original DAZ3D stuff ?

Can you post a screenshot of what is contained in the ZIP file please?

In general, most zips have a top level folder which may be called 'Content' or 'My Library' or similar name. The contents of that top level folder are normally just merged with your DAZ Content folder, and since you are using DIM, that would be 'My DAZ 3D Library'

Check the folder names, and see if they are the same as ones in you library folder, but it is hard to give you advice without knowing the contents of the ZIP file.

Is the zip file called 'F3D_RuinsElvenPortal' ?

If so, inside it is a folder called 'My Library', you need to take everything out of the My Library folder, and merge it with the contents of your library folder 'My DAZ 3D Library'

In other words, merge the folders called 'data, Lights, Materials, Props and Runtime' with the same folders in your DAZ 3D library folder. If you are using a Mac, merging folders may require other software, but it can be done easily on a PC.

    Is that clear enough?

:( i have no idea what u mean or what to do :(
But yes - the folder is the zip folder.
i have moved it into the "my library folder" in DAZ

    I am using a mac.

So when i open DAZ and browse in the content library to the folder - i can find the props.
When i put them into my scene it tells me a lot of parts and textures it is missing

  • Hey I realize this is old but for OSX just hold the `opt` key when dragging and a Merge option will appear next to Skip and Replace
