Genesis 9

Genesis 8 has been around for several years. This stability is appreciated by many users because too frequent changes of version lead to incompatibilities.
However, we beginning to think about Genesis 9, because Genesis 8 is quite limited for animations.
For static renderings, I'm happy with Genesis 8. The render is good quality, if we have placed the right lights.
But for the animations, when the character speaks, I have the impression of seeing a puppet, because the deformation of the mouth isn't realistic.
However, if the technological leap from Genesis 8 to Genesis 9 isn't significant, this evolution will not be interesting.
Personally, I would like the deformation of the skin, in order to have more realistic faces during an animation.

why do people always couch their requests for a specific feature as a move to gen 9, as if it's automatically implied that implementing those features are in some way incompatible with the existing generation...

There's at least one other thread on the topic too.
