Dress Doesn't follow pose

I recently bought the priestess outfit for Genesis

http://www.daz3d.com/priestess-for-genesis-female
and it fits nicely over the initial standard pose, but with the slightest modifications the clothing stays behind or, with a complex pose, the materials are all over the place. Any suggestions? Using Studio 4.6.3.52.

I strongly suspect that it does not conform/follow thigh bones of the Genesis rig and will, thus, have handlers/helpers and adjustment morphs to enable you to adapt the dresses pose to fit the figure

Thanks SimonJM, you're right. However, after making an adjustment, the dress snaps back to pix #2 above. Tried it any which way, but it always returns to original setup. Still, after selecting the right combination of buttons by chance I'm getting somewhere. This'll take some time.

Very odd - I have that item, give me a moment and I'll give it a whirl ...

It is a combination of the Dress and Dress2 handles plus morphs. E.g. the following

Ok, just tried it and - well, it looks 'strange' as I adjust things, but it settles down afterward and the movement stays.
I got a decent-ish pose for the dress using Sitting set to 1.0, FrontR to 0.18 and the Dress bone with Bend -7.10, Twist -5.72 and SideSide at -11.56. More adjustments needed, but it's close. You WILL get some issues as the pose of the figure will cause poke-thru doe to the collision/smoothing, so may need to adjust the poses of the hand and elbow where they touch the legs.

Thanks SimonJM, very kind of you. Please explain what you mean by "Dress" and "Dress 2". I know the left side is the scene tab, but I'm confused by "Dress 2".

They are the names of two of the bones within the rigging of the dress. I've just started a long render so cannot check - but if you click on the dress in the scene tab, then right-click and select 'expand from here' you should seem them listed. Dress seems to act at around the hips, and Dress2 at around the shin

Don't know if it will help, but someone over at 'rosity has some additional sitting morphs for this (and other) dresses/items

ModernWiz actually has those sitting morphs in his Freepository thread here at DAZ.

Thank you SimonJM, for all your help and links, much appreciated. BTW, been trying to buy Julian's Mortal Dance book but I had to register first. I did but received no confirmation email. It's not in the spam directory. I suspect I'll have to re-register. Delightful poetry, appreciate the links.

Good to know, and thanks - it was only the fact that I stumbled over them when I went on my semi-annual (it seems) tip-toe through 'rosity's Freebies.

@Paul - hopefully that will get sorted out for you, if nothing happens in next couple of days drop me a PM as I am seeing him on Friday and I'll see what's happening :)
