Lights deleted...

How could a program (or ''App'') let you delete every light in your scene at once? Is this a joke, DAZ? I don't know what I did, but I deleted 18 lights with one keystroke. That's asinine. And I didn't notice that I did this until it was too late (the ''undo's'' were exhausted'').

It would depend on how it was done. Generally a light set (preset?) will remove any previous lights (you can use the ctrl-click method to get up an option dialog to select the mode of loading this time).

I put in a pre-set as a temporary solution for adjusting some characters, not knowing that it would delete all previous lights. Why wouldn't one be able to add a pre-set to existing lights? And then, I guess there aren't many ''undo's'' available, because I ran out of them. This may be adjustable. So I will look into that. Damn, I'm new to this Studio. Poser I know really well.

I tend to save often (name001, name002, name003... etc), so I don't need to rely on undo. You may possibly be able to go back to a former scene ### that still has the lights, and save them as a scene subset (or a light preset), then go back to your last version and load the lights back in.

If you have yet to start that name-number save bit, yea, it's undo are spent hell.

Also, Loading some lights do wipe out all other lights. I've gotten quite use to right-clicking and "Merge into scene". The DZ lights are kind of like that, along with the ones in the smart tab thing.
    (EDIT)
I don't remember if the Uber lights do that or not, I've been using a scene subset save of the Szark Cam Panel combo things.

The save often thing is a throw back from win95 ms-paint, you had something like three undo steps available, and a save didn't save the undo steps, lol.

If it's a preset, was it grouped? If you select and delete an individual light should work, but if you select on the group header, it would remove all.
